Director of Sales
As a key member of the hotel leadership team, the Director of Sales has accountability for revenue generation and the marketing efforts of the property. This is a hands-on, proactive role suited to someone who builds real relationships and drives measurable results.
- Develop and execute an annual sales plan targeting corporate transient, group, and banquet segments.
- Proactively solicit new business through sales calls, prospecting, site inspections, and industry events, including out-of-town travel when necessary.
- Attend Best Western events when appropriate.
- Manage key accounts and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and travel trade partners.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities; negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients.
- Represent the hotel at Destination Vancouver and relevant industry events.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or director-level role
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience with PMS/CRM systems; familiarity with Best Western or branded hotel systems an asset
- Strong knowledge of the Vancouver corporate and group market
- Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills; self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
