Director of Sales

As a key member of the hotel leadership team, the Director of Sales has accountability for revenue generation and the marketing efforts of the property. This is a hands-on, proactive role suited to someone who builds real relationships and drives measurable results.

  • Develop and execute an annual sales plan targeting corporate transient, group, and banquet segments.
  • Proactively solicit new business through sales calls, prospecting, site inspections, and industry events, including out-of-town travel when necessary.
  • Attend Best Western events when appropriate.
  • Manage key accounts and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and travel trade partners.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities; negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients.
  • Represent the hotel at Destination Vancouver and relevant industry events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or director-level role
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience with PMS/CRM systems; familiarity with Best Western or branded hotel systems an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the Vancouver corporate and group market
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills; self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset

Housekeeper

Hotel Room Attendant required that has a passion for detail for busy downtown hotel. Must clean rooms to hotel standards and be courteous and professional when dealing with guests.

  • This is a physically demanding job that requires bending, stooping, squatting and stretching to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • Previous experience as a Room Attendant or similar job would be a definite asset.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and adhere to housekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Flexible for various shifts, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
  • Good communication skills to interact with fellow employees and guests.

Must have a valid work permit and be in Canada.
