Sales Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager drives new business and manages corporate transient, group, and banquet account portfolios for this full-service 118-room downtown Vancouver hotel. A hands-on, proactive role suited to someone who builds real relationships and wants to grow into a broader sales career.

  • Execute the annual sales plan across assigned accounts and segments.
  • Proactively solicit new business through sales calls, prospecting, site inspections, and industry events, including out-of-town travel.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of corporate accounts and travel trade partners.
  • Achieve individual activity and revenue targets contributing to overall occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR goals.
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate room rates and packages within approved parameters.
  • Support market analysis and competitor rate shopping to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Attend Destination Vancouver functions, Best Western events, and industry networking as required.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of sales experience in hotels or hospitality
  • Comfortable working to activity and revenue targets
  • Familiarity with PMS/CRM systems (an asset; training provided)
  • Familiarity with Vancouver corporate and group market strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills; self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset

Compensation

  • From $70,000 per year, plus performance incentive

Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager helps lead housekeeping and laundry operations for this full-service 118-room downtown Vancouver hotel. A hands-on supervisory role covering scheduling, training, room inspections, and day-to-day guest response.

  • Direct the housekeeping and laundry departments to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the property.
  • Train, schedule, and motivate team members.
  • Provide room status reports and conduct room inspections.
  • Communicate maintenance needs to the appropriate departments.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Support safety and emergency procedures.
  • Assist with performance evaluations.

Must have a valid work permit and be in Canada.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of hotel supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of inventory management
  • Availability for weekends and holidays
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication and customer-service skills

Compensation

  • $58,240–$61,000 per year
